Say bonjour to the south of France while sailing along the Rhône River from Arles to Lyon, France’s gourmet capital of 20 Michelin starred restaurants. Admire the idyllic French countryside with a magnificent steam train ride once in Tournon. You’ll also discover the exceptional worlds of artists such as Van Gogh, savor French delicacies from macarons to truffles to cheese, and bike along scenic paths.

Glide past more than forty castles along the Rhine River’s banks, be treated to an exclusive visit to Lahneck Castle in Germany and cruise along Amsterdam’s storied canals before reaching the Rhine’s main tributaries: the vineyard-clad Moselle River, the “best-kept secret” in river cruising, and the Main River, which cuts through storybook villages and is home to the impressive Main-Danube Canal.

Follow the roaming waterways of Scheldt and Maas as they open up timeworn paths in the Netherlands and Belgium to the dynamic city of Amsterdam; UNESCO-designated Kinderdijk; and not-to-be-missed Bruges and Ghent, the spellbinding “Capital of East Flanders.” Celebrate spring among blooms bursting with a kaleidoscope of color, serene pastures dotted with grazing cows and canals lined with picture-book windmills.

Cruise through thousands of years of history, where castles were built and kings and queens were crowned. The Danube River has inspired artists and musicians for centuries. The last two segments of this journey take you through four magnificent capitals – Vienna, Bratislava, Budapest and Belgrade – and off-the-beaten-path wonders in countries such as Croatia, Serbia and Romania, inviting you to find your own inspiration on this legendary waterway.
